In the 220 years from 1780 to 2000, 129 men gave generously of their time and effort serving Richmond Academy and the city of Augusta.
For much of their history, the trustees had municipal, ecclesiastical, educational and commercial duties. Over the years, however, their duties become limited to the welfare of Richmond Academy.
The history and biographical sketches comprising this volume provide an overview of the people and events responsible for the preservation of this beloved institution.
